Pants, T-shirt, Sweatshirt , Shoes, BackpackHope stood and waited in the metal detector line. It wasn't that long but she kept her headphones around her neck so she could listen to everything. Hope was wearing Black pants with green on the seams and chains hanging down off of it, fake of course but she wasn't sure if she had to take her pants off or something because of the metal, luckily she had blue shorts underneath. But her pants covered up the pink and black checkered slip ons she was wearing on her feet., only partially though she didn't want to go tripping over herself. Her black and white striped sweatshirt was unzipped at the moment showing off her "Invader Zim" T-shirt.
Shew put her backpack and her CD player onto the conveyor as her turn came up. She flashed her passport and continued through the line.
"Are my pants going to mess anything up?" Hope decided to ask before going through the metal detector.
"You should be fine young lady" The guy said.
Hope went through the detector she got through it without any problems. Hope retrieved her stuff then went to board her plane. She put her CD player back on and listened to one of her favorite songs come up: "Way Away". She smiled then went onto the plane backpack on her back and listening to music.
I think I'm breaking out I'm gonna leave you now Theres nothing for me here, it's all the same And even though I know That everything might go Go downhill from here, I'm not afraid
She went to find her seat in the middle of the plane but toward the front, she got an Aisle seat which she was glad to have gotten i mean it didn't matter to her much really, it's not like she was afraid of heights anyway.
Way away away from here I'll be Way away away so you can see How it feels to be alone and not believe (Feels to be alone and not believe) Feels to be alone and not believe anything
That was her favorite part of the song, she had to smile, Way away from her family was what she was going to be, and happy.

[/i] to walk through? She liked to think that she was making the best out of a bad situation (thank you, fetus), but it was tiresome enough trying to waddle through a crowded airport. Aisle ways were an entirely new level of maneuvering. The caffeine from her coffee had made her even jitterier than before. She bit the inside of her lip, smiling nervously at a teenage boy who was staring openly at her enlarged stomach. Startled at being caught staring, he turned his head sharply and Claire let the fake grin slide from her face. Yes, she was pregnant. In fact, she could be considered very pregnant. Claire turned sideways slightly in an attempt to ease her way between the coach seats. Looking down at her ticket, she tried to figure out exactly where she would be sitting. If she was in aisle H now, then she would almost be there in a few moments… Not paying attention to what she was doing, Claire felt her foot collide with something solid. Her center of gravity was off due to the baby, so she lost her balance momentarily and stumbled a few steps. Catching herself on the seats, glanced up to see what she had accidentally kicked. A teenage girl with headphones on was sitting in her seat rather peacefully, and that seemed to be what she had tripped over. “Sorry,” she said, smiling tentatively. Then she turned to back to her boarding pass and found out that she would be sitting right beside the girl, but across the aisle way. The problematic part would be trying to force her bag into the overhead compartment. Claire lifted it and tried to tip it inside, but she had a hard time performing activities like this when she wasn’t pregnant. Having a baby was once again making her feel absolutely ridiculous. After struggling for a few minutes an older man took pity on her and shoved her bag into the compartment with ease. Feeling immensely grateful, she thanked him and took her seat. Once that had been taken care of, Claire looked back over to the girl who she had nearly fallen on top of a moment earlier. “Sorry again for tripping over you before,” she repeated. A strand of blonde, wavy hair fell in her face and she tucked it behind her ear. This girl couldn’t be older than fifteen, surely. Her maternal instinct – if she had one – kicked in, and she felt a wave of friendliness coming on. “I’m Claire, by the way.” [/ul][/size]

The song continues on her CD player as she noticed people filing into the Aisles of Flight 815.
Letting out the noise inside of me [Letting out the noise inside of me] Every windowpane is shattering [Every windowpane is shattering] Cutting out my words before I speak [Cutting out my words] This is how it feels to not believe
Letting out the noise inside of me [Letting out the noise inside of me] Every windowpane is shattering [Every windowpane is shattering] Cutting out my words before I speak [Cutting out my words] This is how it feels to not believe
Way away Away from here I’ll be Way away Away so you can see
Suddenly she felt someone stumble. She slipped her headphones around her neck as if brought back to reality from her fantasy-land, wherever Hope's mind had wondered while listening to the song. She looked at a very pregnant woman who she hadn't noticed in the airport and kind of surprised she hadn't. hope was probably too busy getting her point across to the people who brought her here, her so called 'family'. The woman was pretty Hope had to say long wavy blond hair probably early twenties. And the woman had an accent.
SHE WAS AUSSIE!! Hope's heart skipped a beat she loved being Aussie and she liked others who also were. There were so many different accents on the plane today that she was glad to get another one with the same one as her.
The woman apologized and introduced herself as 'Claire'. she seemed really nice.
"It's alright" Hope said in her natural Aussie accent. "Nice to meet you Claire. My name is Ho-" Hope stopped herself, she wasn't Hope to others anymore she had given herself a new name earlier.
"Just call me Shadow" Hope finally smirked but in a sweet sort of way.
Hope had died and from Hope emerged Shadow. Thats all she had been most of her life, why not call herself it too. Hope felt strongly toward the woman, she wasn't sure why really. Hope, being the last born, had never really seen a pregnant woman up close before. and the fact she never had a real mother figure in her life since her own died giving birth to her. And her stepmother killed herself after a few years.
Hope pulled back. "Do you know if its a boy or girl yet?" She asked randomly.

[/i] baby. Shadow wasn’t a name, not a real name anyway. There was something strange about the way Shadow had stopped mid-sentence to correct her introduction, but Claire wasn’t one to judge. Everyone had their own problems. “Shadow?” she repeated, somewhat uncertainly. This girl didn’t look like much of a shadow, but she supposed dark clothes somehow worked into the equation. Nicknames didn’t have to make complete sense anyhow. "Do you know if it’s a boy or girl yet?"The answer to that question was a very simple ‘no’. Claire hadn’t bothered to ask the doctor about the gender of the child. She didn’t see the point in attaching herself to something she would just give away. Speaking with this particular, impressionable girl, however, she was reluctant to share that piece of vital information. “No, I don’t know,” she told her. She pondered for a moment, trying to think of something a really great role model might say. Lying wasn’t an option for her, but telling the whole truth didn’t sound appealing either. “I never asked.”The fasten seat belt sign had been on since she boarded the plane, but only now did Claire pay attention to it. Her hands fumbled for the straps and it took her ages to get it loose enough to fit around her stomach. Slightly frustrated, she snapped the thing into place. As an afterthought, she remembered to shift it in the right place on her stomach so the strap wouldn’t potentially strangle her unborn child. Then she tightened the strap into place. For a moment Claire wondered if such a tiny strip of material would be effective if the plane were to crash. She considered asking one of the hostesses for another one, but then realized that no amount of safety measures could save her if the airplane were to nosedive twelve miles into the Pacific. Well wasn’t that a cheery thought. Turn her attention back to Shadow, Claire felt a wave of concern. “Aren’t you a bit young to be traveling alone?” she asked. “Or are your parents waiting for you in LA?” She didn’t want the girl to end up completely alone once she got off the plane. Hope moved a piece of her brown hair from her eyes. She shut her CD player off, maybe some nice human contact would be good for her, Claire seemed nice enough. Hope thought carefully this lady she didn't know Hope didn't want to reveal too much. She liked being the mysterious kid, especially when people thought she was younger than she actually was.
"Yes Shadow, I don't go by my other name, haven't for years" Hope said casually.
She listened closely to what Claire was saying about not knowing the gender of her baby. Well not everyone wanted to know some did because they needed to know what to buy, some didn't because they liked the surprise, but in her birth-mother's case they had to find out because their mother got really sick.According to her brother Chaz, she looked like a clone of her mother thats why they hated her. Hope never understood that part when she was younger, guess it was no use trying to analyze the situation.
"I'm visiting my Aunt in L.A." Hope answered Claire's question. "Haven't seen her in a while"
It was part of the truth anyway and i mean it wouldn't give away too much, there are alot of teens who go alone to visit family members in other countries right?

[/b] Claire said, feeling genuinely happy for the girl. Usually the small talk would make her start gnawing at her nails, but she was ready to be distracted by anything at this point. If she ended up going into labor on this damn plane… Well, she wouldn’t think about that right now. At the moment she was paying attention to Shadow and her darling aunt. “How long will you be staying? School should be starting soon.” It was almost embarrassing that she knew when school would be starting, but when she had been planning on raising the child with Thomas they had planned all of these things. Rather, Claire had planned everything and read it all to Thomas from color-coded note cards. The fact that someone so young was traveling alone still troubled her. If anything were to happen, Claire would most definitely be incompetent in dealing with a teenager. Especially this teenager, who dressed mildly similar to how she had looked when she was about seventeen. If their behaviors were anything alike then Claire would be in a lot of trouble. The thought of her adolescent self made her grimace. To put it mildly, she had been a nightmare. Arguments were her specialty, with disregarding rules coming in a close second. Worse than imagining her teenage self was remembering the tragic accident that had ended her goth phase. The unborn child in her stomach kicked violently as her heart rate sped up. The blonde woman jerked and looked at her stomach apprehensively. If the thing kicked all the way to LA then she might have an anxiety attack. Her hands rested on her pregnant belly out of habit and her thumb rubbed in a circle. “Stop it,” she murmured. “We’re just going for a little ride, alright? Then we’ll be in Los Angeles.” Remembering that she was in a public place, Claire glanced up. “He’s kicking,” she explained shortly. At least that meant he was in good strength. [/ul][/size]

Hope couldn't think of another question to ask Claire about , about the baby. Hope was the youngest child in the family and really had no experience with younger kids except for the ones she used to babysit. It was kind of odd for a youngest child not to ask questions, most were pretty curious about babies and younger siblings. Not Hope though, she didn't care so much though. She moved her legs to a crossed leg position because they were getting uncomfortable the way she had them originally.
Hope looked at Claire curiously, School she forgot about that. Hope was going to a public school within Los Angeles. She was kind of excited about it to meet new people that didn't know her or her family, well other than her Aunt.
"School, forgot about that, I would love not to have to go. I got pretty good grades since I started in school Maybe I won't have to go back." Hope joked.
Hope thought of her luggage how she had packed everything in there along with the school records she would have to give to her new principal. In all her years of school she had never gotten Lower than a "C" in any grade in any course there were alot of As, A bunch of B's and few Cs. She hoped keeping her grades up would help make her family like her, the only one who was ever really proud of her was her stepmother Jennifer, that's the only reason she kept them up after Jennifer died, because it made her happy. The rest of her family could Care less, although Hope's brother Chaz wasn't that bad, Lucas was hell , her father hated her, her sister didn't really get a chance to see or play with her much.
"What do you like to do for fun?" Hope asked changing the subject.
Hope looked over at Claire who was telling her unborn baby to stop.
